We're just a few hours away from schedule apple event, and while we already have a good idea of what to expect, it looks like Cupertino might surprise us with an entirely new computing device. in a brief twitter postRespectable Apple insider Mark Gurman has shared a last-minute scoop on today's event, claiming that "Mac Studio" could be coming soon.
I'm told that the Mac Studio (smaller Mac Professional/more powerful Mac mini) and the new iOS-powered note are "ready to go" - so I'm guessing they should arrive tomorrow. https://t.co/MvrGwTfGmyMarch 7, 2022
Gurman described the device as a hybrid machine that would fall somewhere between the "smallest Mac Professional and a more powerful mac miniAccording to Gurman's sources, Apple is also planning to release a new external watch that will supposedly run on iOS and be powered by an A-series chip. His post revealed that both devices are "ready to go", suggesting that the Announcement may come later today.
This comes brand after YouTuber and leaker Luke Miani revealed render images of the alleged “Mac Studio” in his latest video. Miani collaborated with Ian Zelbo, a concept clothier who works regularly with Jon Prosser, another Apple-related product leaker. It's also worth noting that Miani credited Prosser in the video's description, thanking him for "for helping with verification and help."
Miani stated that the potential project is based on what he would have been told by his sources. The leaker described the hybrid machine as "Apple's first entry into the midrange desktop market", which will likely echo the design of the current Mac mini with M1. However, Miani specified that the machine will be four inches tall and will have new thermal features to prevent overheating.
According to the leaker, the device will have a curved base design with silver sides that will be “complemented by a white glass or polycarbonate top”. Miani stated that the "Mac Studio" will be "the star of the display" during today's Apple event.

The YouTuber also discussed the new external watch, which could also be announced today. Miani hinted that the name of the product will likely be "Studio Show", though the leaker said that's not certain yet.
Miani also stated that the watch will measure 27 inches diagonally, which matches a recent report coming from trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He also shared that it will likely be cheaper than the Professional Show XDR and will have slightly thicker bezels. According to the YouTuber, it's likely the watch will also feature the same kickstand design featured on the 24-inch iMac (2021).
We also previously covered an exclusive report coming out of 9to5Mac which stated that “Mac Studio” may be on the way. And the fact that Gurman is now supporting the above allegations should not be ignored. After all, Gurman is a reputable source when it comes to all things Apple. In fact, Gurman was the first to report on Apple's knowledge of the event.
Regardless, the big day is already here, which means we don't have to wait long to find out if the claims about "Mac Studio" and a new external notice from Apple are accurate.
