Isabel's death was confirmed through a statement published on the actress's social networks.

“Today, February 11, 2022, we say goodbye to Isabel. Although her family and friends will deeply miss her departure, we know that wherever she goes, she will have fun as she knows how. Thank you for all the displays of love and concern.”

According to the international press, Isabel had been fighting the disease for about two years.

On November 15, 2021, the actress posted a video on her Instagram in which she claimed to be her last video. In the recording, she says that she was entering the clinic and that the doctors gave her two months to live.

The “Veneno” series tells the story of transgender singer Cristina Ortiz Rodríguez. Isabel played Cristina in the project.
