OPPO Pad? Chinese first tablet has alleged image, specifications and prices revealed

OPPO is expected to launch its first tablet in the first half of 2022, and although we still don't have a precise date, several of its technical specifications leaked this Monday (10), indicating that the device will be a strong competitor in the “premium” segment.

According to the information from reliable leakers, including digital chat station and Mukul Sharma, the tablet will be equipped with an 11-inch screen and 120Hz refresh rate. New rumors claim that the technology used in the display is IPS LCD.

A screenshot purportedly obtained by “OPPO Pad” (unofficial name) revealed by leaker Chinese shows that the device will have 2K resolution (1,600 x 2,500 pixels) distributed in a 16:10 ratio. This detail seems congruent with the leaked image of the model.

The edges between the display will be thick enough to house an 8 MP front camera. At the rear, the main camera will have a resolution of 13 MP, according to leaks.

The “OPPO Pad” must be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. It is assumed that the platform will have 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of on-board internal storage. In addition, the tablet is expected to leave the factory running Android 12 under ColorOS 12. The battery should boast a capacity of 8080 mAh.

As for its availability, it is stated that the tablet will be launched in China with an MSRP of ¥2,000, that is, around R$ 1,768. Subsequently, the device will land in India.

It was taking too long! OPPO's first tablet has leaked specifications and photo

Last year, rumors pointed out that OPPO would enter the tablet and laptop market in 2021 — but by the looks of it, that objective should be further ahead. No official information has been released, but both the alleged specifications and a photo of what would be the Chinese's first tablet have just leaked.

The image does not reveal much about the tablet – dubbed, for now, the Oppo Pad – but we can see that its screen does not have a notch in the center or a hole on the right side for the selfie camera.

As for the specifications, the leak points to a Snapdragon 870 platform, 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The system must be ColorOS 12 based on Android 11, featuring a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which, according to the informant Digital Chat Station, measures 11 inches and brings a resolution of 2,560×1,600 pixels. There should also be an 8,080 mAh battery.
