In recent months, the Spotify has made several changes to its interface, in addition to having added a series of tools to make life easier for users and make the experience more pleasant.

This week, the platform announced a new feature, which aims to bring fans closer to their favorite idols.

The new tool notifies users of releases by their favorite artists and podcasters. Through the bell icon, which you can find at the top of the interface, the What's New panel collects new releases from bands, musicians and shows that you follow on the platform. Spotify claims that the tool will update in real time, with a blue dot above the bell indicating when the dashboard has been updated with new content.

Spotify plans to roll out the tool to all Android and iOS users in the coming weeks.

In short, What's New is similar to the Radar de Novidades playlist, which already exists on Spotify. Both are designed to push new stuff for you to add to your library, but they work differently.

Like Weekly Discovery, What's New Radar uses a mix of human curation and software to highlight the songs you're likely to enjoy listening to. What's New, on the other hand, forgoes curation in favor of understanding. It also benefits from a dedicated interface element.

As a playlist, it's easy for the What's New Radar to go unnoticed by users.
