Xiaomi announced this Thursday (17), the launch of the Redmi K50 line with powerful MediaTek processors and a new visual language for the premium market, but also presented the Redmi K40S as a revamped version of the K40 released last year. Basically, the new handset is a fusion between the two generations, sharing last year's specs and the new generation's design.

Redmi K40S arrives with 12 GB of RAM and Snapdragon 870

The Redmi K40S arrives with the same visual language as the new Redmi K50 and K50 Pro, with a rear defined by a rectangular module divided into two regions, with a more protruding part where cameras are gathered in a circular format, and the triple LED flash with inscriptions about the photographic set inserted in the platform just below.

The technical sheet of the new Redmi K40S includes specifications from last year's generation, like the processor Snapdragon 870 and configurations up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage🇧🇷 Its 6.67-inch screen is made up of an AMOLED panel with Full HD resolution, with 120Hz refresh rate.

As for the cameras, a slightly modified triple set is inserted at the rear, with a 48 MP main lens with a Sony IMX582 sensor, plus an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a macro lens that goes from 5 MP to just 2 MP. For selfies, the front camera keeps 20 MP.

To power this whole set, we have a 4,500 mAh battery, the same capacity as last year's model, but with support for fast charging at 67W, faster than the 33W of its older brothers.

Announced this Thursday (17), the Redmi K40S is now available in China in black, green, gray and blue/purple. For now, Xiaomi has not revealed details about the launch of the device in the international market, but it is possible that it will arrive using other nomenclatures.
